While the range and severity of the specific symptoms can vary greatly by individuals, spasticity can impact overall quality of life by reducing tolerance to, or limiting participation in, a number of typical activities including:1

  • securing and holding a job
  • ease and frequency of independent travel
  • recuperative sleep
  • activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • household chores
  • parenting
  • sexual function and reproduction
